PROJENİN TANIMI
Günümüzde uzaktan eğitim ve çevrimiçi öğrenme giderek yaygınlaşmakta ve çevrimiçi dersleri kullanan kişi sayısı giderek artmaktadır. Buna paralel olarak eğitim ve öğretimde gerek yazılım gerekse donanım teknolojilerinin kullanımı önem kazanmaktadır. Kurumlar kendi akademik standartlarına, müfredatlarına ve değerlendirme araçlarına uygun bütünleşik eğitim yazılımları üretmektedir. Uzaktan eğitim veya çevrimiçi öğrenme sadece teknolojik ürünlerin eğitim hizmetine sunulması değildir; aynı zamanda eğitimin planlanması, tasarımı, üretimi, sunumu ve değerlendirilmesi ve denetlenmesi aşamalarını içeren bir disiplindir. Mavi Platform; yönetim, iletişim, etkileşim, işbirliği, ders sunumu ve yönetimi, ödevlendirme, içerik geliştirme süreçlerini kapsamaktadır. Ayrıca; Eğitim kurumlarının kaynaklarını etkin kullanımına, özel eğitime yönelik eğitsel içeriğe uygunluk, erişilebilirlik, esneklik, kullanım kolaylığı gibi ölçütlere sahiptir. Sistemimiz tüm bu özelliklerin engelli öğrencilere maksimum fayda sağlaması amacıyla, birlikte çalışabilirlik, yeniden kullanılabilirlik, yönetilebilirlik, ulaşılabilirlik, süreklilik vb. özelliklere sahiptir. Özel eğitime gereksinimi olan çocukların dikkat süresi kısadır ve dikkati çabuk dağılır. Kavramlara ilişkin bilgileri sınırlıdır. Yapılan çalışmalar bilgisayar destekli eğitim programlarının engelli çocukların motivasyonunu arttırdığı, dikkatlerini daha uzun süreli toplamalarını sağladığı ve bu şekilde çalışmaktan daha çok zevk aldıkları yönündedir. Ayrıca geleneksel eğitim programları ile sağlanan öğretim ve bilgisayar destekli eğitimin karşılaştırmasını içeren çalışmalardan birçoğu bilgisayar destekli eğitim programlarının engelli çocukların öğrenmesinde olumlu etkileri olduğunu göstermektedir. Engelli çocukların ileride toplumsal hayata katılımı; sosyal, mesleki veya bağımsız bir hayal sürebilecekleri becerileri bilgisayar destekli eğitim materyalleri ile sağlanabilir. Mavi Platform, özel eğitime gereksinim duyan çocuklarımızın, ailelerinin ve öğretmenlerinin tamamen ücretsiz olarak kullanabileceği bir özel eğitim platformudur. Projenin hedef kitlesi; özel eğitime ihtiyaç duyan, orta-ağır zihinsel engeli ve otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan bireylerdir. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı 2018 yılında, orta-ağır zihinsel engeli ve otizm spektrum bozukluğu olan bireylere yönelik olan öğretim programını yenilemiştir. Mavi Platform bu yeni programa uygun olarak hazırlanmıştır. Programın aşağıdaki dersler ve kademelerine ait hedef davranışlar Mavi Platform içerisinde yer almaktadır. I. Kademe:
Mavi Platformun en büyük amacı özel eğitimde fırsat eşitliğine katkı sağlamaktır. Sistem tamamen ücretsizdir ve hep ücretsiz kalacaktır. Proje ortağı kurumlardan olan ve sistemin mühendislik yapısını oluşturan İMPARK firması, şirket var olduğu sürece sistemi sunucularında barındıracağını taahhüt etmiştir. Bu durum projenin sürdürülebilirliği ve geliştirilebilirliği açısından paha biçilemez bir değer katmaktadır. Mavi Platform, yardımcı materyali olarak kullanılmak üzere tasarlanmıştır. Sistemin kullanılışı oldukça basittir. Öğrenciler sistemi öğretmen veya veli eşliğinde hatta kendi başlarına bile kolaylıkla kullanabilir. Mavi Platform web tabanlı bir eğitim yönetim sistemidir (LMS). Kurulum gerektirmez, internet bağlantısı olan her türlü bilgisayar ve akıllı tahtada çalışabilir. Sistemin kullanılışı oldukça basittir. Öğrenciler sistemi öğretmen veya veli eşliğinde hatta kendi başlarına bile kolaylıkla kullanabilir. Eğitim ekranları öncelikle öğrenme ile başlar ve arkasından pekiştirme ile devam eder. Dersler işlendikten sonra kazanım hedefli oyunlar, şarkılar, animasyonlar, tekerlemeler, hikâyeler vb. pekiştirme araçları yer almaktadır. Okul Modülü, Öğretmen Modülü ve Veli Modülü vardır. Okul yöneticileri, öğretmenler ve veliler kendilerine ait şifreler ile ayrı ayrı sisteme giriş yapıp kullanabilirler. Öğretmen sistem üzerinden öğrencisine ödev verebilir, veli öğrencisinin ders durumunu takip edebilir, veli öğrencisi ile istediği zamanlarda ders tekrarı yapabilir. Kullanılan görsel ögeler, animasyonlar, şarkılar, hikâyeler, tekerlemeler, oyunlar Mavi Platforma özel olarak hazırlanmıştır. Mavi Platform için üretilen tüm video ve animasyonlar projenin resmi Youtube kanalında yer almaktadır ve aşağıdaki adresten izlenebilir. (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2hscMnpUxhsMgZZAh2SWZg) Öğrenci sistem üzerinde çalışırken sınırsız sayıda ses kaydı alınabilir. Benzer diğer çalışmalarda bulunmayan bir özellik olarak; alınan kayıtlar silinmez ve saklanır. Öğretmen veya veli öğrencinin konuşma gelişimini takip edebilir, geçmiş ile kıyaslayabilir. Sistem tamamen öğrenciye özelleştirilebilir niteliktedir. Bu husus özel eğitim için çok önemlidir. Okul ya da kurum yöneticisinin sisteme girmiş olduğu bilgiler eğitimler esnasında otomatik olarak ekrana gelir. Örneğin; öğrencinin aile bireylerinin görselleri sisteme yüklenmiş ise ilgili ders çalışılırken bu görseller eğitim ekranlarına otomatik olarak gelmektedir. Mavi Platform beş dilde hazırlanmıştır (Türkçe, İngilizce, Fransızca, İtalyanca ve Romence). Beş dil seçeneği ile birlikte Avrupa’nın en büyük özel eğitim platformudur. Farklı ülke dillerine kolayca entegre edilebilir. |
DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT
Nowadays, distance education and online learning become rapidly popular and the number of the people using online lessons has been continuously increasing. Concordantly, in education and training not only software programs but also hardware programs are gaining value. Institutions produce integrated coursewares that are suitable for their own academical standards, curriculas and assessment tools. Distance education or online learning not only means implementing technological products into education but also at the same time it is a discipline including planning, designing, producing, evaluating and monitoring the education. Blue Platform includes the process of management, communication, interaction, collaboration, presentation, tasking and content development. Besides it has criterias such as the effective use of educational resources, appropriateness of special education content, accessibility, flexibility and usability. Furthermore, our system has the characteristics of interoperability, reusability, manageability, accessibility, durability etc. to allow students to use it fruitfuly. Children with special needs have limited attention span and their attention can easily be distracted. Their knowledge of concepts is limited. The studies show that computer assisted learning increases the motivation level of disabled students and it enables them to increase their attention span so that they enjoy studying. Also most of the studies comparing traditional education programs and computer assisted programs show that computer assisted education programs are more effective in learning process of children with special needs. The skills necessary for children with disabilities to participate in social life in the future and to lead a socially and professionally independent life can be provided with computer assisted education materials. Blue Platform is a complete free of charge special education platform that is available for all children with special needs, their parents and their teachers. Target group of the project is the individuals with special needs, the ones with moderate and heavy mental disability and the ones with autism spectrum disorder. In 2018, MoNE renovated the curriculum of individuals with moderate and heavy mental disability and autism spectrum disorder. Blue Platform has been designed according to this new curricula. Blue Platform includes the targets of levels and syllabus on the list below. Level I:
The main goal of Blue Platform is to make a contribution to the equality of opportunity in special education. Blue Platform is totally free of charge and will always remain free of charge. İMPARK, one of the partner institutions which has built the engineering sytem of our project, guaranteed to carry on saving the system on their servers as long as the company exist. This statement added priceless value to the project in terms of sustainability and upgradeablity. Blue Platform is designed for being used as a supplementary material. The system is very simple to use. Students can use it with the help of their teachers or parents and even by themselves in an easy way. Blue Platform is a web based Learning Management System (LMS). It does not require set-up, it is available on all kinds of computers and smarts boards with internet connection. Students can easily log in to the system. Training screens start with learning section and then continue with reinforcement. After lessons are taught, some reinforcement tools such as games, songs, animations, tongue twisters, stories etc. that are to achieve the goals of the lessons appear on the screen. There are school module, teacher module and parent module sections. School managers, teachers and parents can log in to the system one by one and use it easily. Teacher can assign tasks to the students on the system and parents can follow their children’s current level of learning and review the lessons with them anytime. The used images, animations, songs, stories, tongue twisters and games are specifically designed for Blue Platform. Recordings cannot be removed, they are saved by the system as an unusual feature when it is compared to other teaching systems. Teacher or parent can monitor student's speech development and make comparisons for process. The system is totally customizable for students. This matter is very important for special education. The information entered to the system by the administrator appears automatically on the screen during training period. For instance, if the student’s family members’ images have been uploaded, those images drop on the screen automatically. Blue Platform was prepared in five languages (Turkish, English, French, Italian and Romanian). It is the biggest special education platform with its five language options. It can be easily integrated with different languages. |
